All requests made less than three days prior will be user-dialed only. However MCU space can be reserved if available.Video & Collaboration Services provides and coordinates several different technologies that allow UF faculty, staff, and students to interact at a distance.

Certification PageMCU Services
Multi-point conferencing services are available for creating videoconferences with 3 or more participants. There are three levels of service available, Scheduled Conference, Reserved MCU Space, and Ad-Hoc Conference. To schedule a conference please fill out the online request form, links are on the top and bottom of this page.
Scheduled Conferences
Automated
Scheduled conferences must be requested three business days in advance. Any request less than three days in advance can have MCU space reserved if available. Please request sites only if they wish to attend the conference. VCS will contact all requested sites to verify their participation. Sites that do not respond will not be included in the conference. At the scheduled time VCS will dial out to all participants that responded unless otherwise noted.

Reserved MCU space must be requested 24 hours in advance. VCS will verify that space is available on the bridge at the time of your conference, will reserve that space, and provide you with the connection information that participants will need to connect themselves.

Ad-Hoc multi-point conferences are available any time there are unscheduled resources. Scheduled conferences take priority and disconnect Ad-Hoc calls if additional resources are needed. See the Ad-Hoc conference instructions for connection information.

Portable Unit / Cart Rental
Portable units and videoconferencing carts are available for rent. Most classrooms and other spaces on campus with high-quality network connections can be used for videoconferencing. VCS will bring the equipment, set it up, and show you how to use it. If you're not sure a room will work, VCS will come and test it for you.
